Sanaa calls on Security Council to issue resolution ending Yemeni’s suffering

SANAA, April 30 (YPA) – Ministry of Human Rights of the Sanaa government called on the Security Council to issue a strict resolution to stop the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The ministry affirmed in a statement the negative role of the Council during the years of aggressive war on Yemen and its practices of the worst kinds of hypocrisy in its stances that justified the coalition committing the most deadly crimes against humanity.

The statement stressed that the Security Council has proven that it is void of the legal decision in protecting international peace and security, and is just a tool for British-American ambitions and agendas.

“The council’s latest statement is an attempt to return to square one and ride the wave of calm that has lost the ability to manage its rudder and gone out of its scope due to the equation of national steadfastness that changed positions and triumphed for the Yemeni will and the Yemeni people in particular,” it commented on the council’s statement on Yemen.

The ministry’s statement called on the Council to support the security of homelands and people, especially the most vulnerable groups, civilians, children and women, to respect the sovereignty of countries and not to interfere in their affairs, and to issue a strict decision to stop the suffering of the Yemeni people by lifting the siege, opening airports and ports, and leaving all foreign forces from Yemen.

It urged e from the council’s states that did not engage in the aggression against Yemen by working out of their responsibility and international obligations towards protecting civilians, and stopping the war.

The UN Security Council issued a press statement two days ago calling on the Yemeni parties to continue dialogue and engage constructively in the peace process, ignoring the role of the coalition countries in the war and siege on Yemen over the past years.
