Coalition plans to transfer forces from border regions to Aden, Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, April 26 (YPA) – Saudi-led coalition forces planned to transfer some mercenary brigades from the Saudi border with Yemen to a number of southern governorates, informed political sources reported.

The sources confirmed that Lieutenant General Mutlaq bin Salem Al-Azima, the Commander of the Saudi -led coalition forces, directed the transfer of some of the mercenary brigades recruited by Saudi Arabia in the cross-border front, including extremist elements, to Hadramout and Aden, to strengthen the Saudi-backed “Dara Al-Watan” forces.

The sources attributed the transfer of the brigades due to their danger to the so-called “security of the Kingdom”, after cutting their monthly bonuses granted to them by the Saudi Ministry of Defense.

This comes after Saudi intelligence arrested a number of military leaders, including the commander of the Special Missions Brigade, “Ali Qamlan”, on charges of smuggling drugs and hashish to Saudi territory, according to pro-coalition media.

In early April, the coalition -backed militants staged protests near the port of Al-Wadea demanding the release of one of the leaders, was dispersed by the gunmen of Hashem al-Ahmar.
