US forces deploy near Aden Gulf

DJIBOUTI, April 21 (YPA) – The U.S. Department of Defense had announced in a statement the transfer of military equipment to a naval base in Djibouti, located on the Gulf of Aden, south of Yemen, in preparation for the evacuation of US embassy staff from Sudan.

The US forces deployed, on orders from the Pentagon, to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, in anticipation of developments in the situation in Sudan, in light of fighting taking place between the Sudanese army and Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces.
