SANAA, March 17 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) predicted that thundershowers of varying intensity will continue to hit most of the Yemeni governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center said in its weather bulletin on Friday, it expected rainfall of varying intensity and accompanied by thunderstorms to continue during the afternoon and evening periods in separate areas of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Mahwit, Hajjah, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj and Abyan.
Moderate to heavy thunderstorms also expected later at night to hit different areas of the governorates of Jawf, Marib, Shabwa, Bayda, Hadramout and Mahra, the center said.
The center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected not to be in torrential streams and valleys in order to preserve their safety and property.
