Al-Ajri mocks US, British hypocrisy in UN Security Council

SANAA, March 17 (YPA) -Member of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Abdul-Malik Al-Ajri, has commented on the statement made in the Security Council on Yemen.

“ The intervention of the American and British delegates in the Security Council reminded him of the Scammer fox in Shawqi’s poem,” Abdul-Malik Al-Ajri wrote on his twitter account.

ذكرتني مداخلة مندوبي امريكا وبريطانيا في مجلس الامن بالثعلب الواعظ في قصيدة شوقي،تحدثا عن الوضع الإنساني لكن لم يتحدثا عن الحصار الغاشم،تحدثا عن زعزعة الاستقرار لكن لم يتحدثا عن صفات الاسلحة التي تصب فوق رؤسنا وتحول حياتنا جحيما،وكما قال شوقي:
مخطِئ مَن ظَن يوما
أَن لِلثعلب دينا

“The American and British delegates talked about the humanitarian situation in Yemen, but did not talk about the brutal [US-imposed] siege. They talked about destabilizing, but did not talk about the arms sales that are poured over our heads and turn our lives into hell,” Al-Ajri explained .
