Explosions rang out across Ukraine after intense missile attacks

WORLD, March 09 (YPA) – Explosions and power outages hit different parts of the country at dawn on Thursday, Ukrainian media reported.

Ukrainian broadcaster TSN reported that several powerful explosions occurred in the capital Kiev on Thursday morning, while smoke plumes were seen rising in the city.

The authorities of the Kiev region turn on the air defense systems.

TSN reported on power outages in Kiev and suggesting that power was disconnected preventively.

Ukrainian media reported that explosions rocked several areas.

The governor of Kharkov province confirmed that about 15 explosions had been recorded in the region.

Russian forces have been targeting Ukrainian infrastructures since Oct. 10, with strikes on energy facilities, defense industries, military command and communications centers across the country.
