Wheat harvest season kicks off in Jawf

JAWF, March 08 (YPA) – The Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee and General Organization for Grain Development and Production, in coordination with the local authority in Jawf Governorate, inaugurated the wheat harvest season for the year 1444 AH, in the governorate.

During the inauguration, Deputy of Ministry of Agriculture for Production Development Sector, Eng. Samir Al-Hanani, affirmed  commitment of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to expand the cultivation and production of wheat, and seeds in the first place.

He stressed that the inauguration is the fruit of efforts made to expand the cultivation of land with various grains.

For his part, the Executive Director of General Organization for Grain Development and Production, Yahya Al-Sayani, confirmed that the harvest season in Jawf Governorate for this season will be promising.

He praised the efforts of all government agencies, in mobilizing all equipment, including compressors and harvesters, which were prepared and distributed to all directorates according to the percentage of the crop and the time of harvest.
