HODEIDA, March 08 (YPA) – At least Eleven women and three children died when a boat carrying 25 people on board sank in the coastal area of Al-Khouba between Al-Lahiya district and Kamaran Island in Hodeida Governorate, western Yemen.
Sources in the Fisheries Authority told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that 11 people survived the incident, which occurred late on Monday evening, including six people who are receiving treatment at the Al-Thawra General Hospital in the province.
The Vice President of the General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea, Mohammed Al-Omeisy, and other officials inspected the conditions of the survivors, including a child.
