President Al-Mashat hails economic empowerment projects

SANAA, March 07 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, praised the General Authority for Zakat’s economic empowerment projects on Tuesday for their developmental role in enabling disadvantaged families to become self-sufficient and transforming them into productive members of society.

This came during his discussion today with Shamsan Abu Nashtan, the head of the General Authority for Zakat, about the authority’s operations and projects that will be carried out during the holy month of Ramadan.

President Al-Mashat urged paying attention to the poor and needy in many ways, as well as supporting bakeries and charitable kitchens, which would ease citizens’ suffering in light of the country’s current situation and the consequences of the aggression and siege.

He directed the concerned authorities to cooperate with the Zakat Authority to overcome the difficulties in establishing the third pillar of Islam.
