Parliament assigns committee to monitor implementation of food price regulations
SANAA, March 07 (YPA) – The Parliament on Tuesday assigned its Trade and Industry Committee along with officials from the relevant authorities to look the extent to which importers, wholesalers, and retailers are committed to applying regulations related to food prices.
In its session, the House of Representatives stressed the need to set food prices, strengthen the supervisory role in markets, arrest violators, confiscate expired goods, and combat smuggling.
The House members called for the opening of competitive food exhibitions, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, to take into account the exceptional circumstances the country is facing due to the aggression and siege.
