Yemen Scholars Association condemns desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden

SANAA, Jan. 22 (YPA) – The Yemen Scholars Association condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden.

In a statement, the scholars considered that this crime expresses the extent of hatred, barbarism, underestimation and provocation of the feelings of Muslims and the targeting of their greatest sanctities.

The statement stated that this hateful step, and complicity with it, represents an outright war against Islam and Muslims.

It pointed out that this provocation requires a global and major Islamic move to discipline the violations of Islamic sanctities.

The scholars called on the Islamic regimes to interrogate the ambassadors of Sweden and to boycott this country, which made freedom of expression a justification for such crimes.
