Sanaa’s tax authority grant 67,085 taxpayers tax exemption certificates

SANAA, Jan. 20 (YPA) – The Tax Authority in Sanaa government on Friday announced that it has granted 67,085 taxpayers tax exemption certificates in the capital Sanaa and the provinces since the issuance of the 2020 law on the tax exemption.

According to the statistics issued Friday by the authority, the total number of exemption certificates granted to taxpayers of small and smaller enterprises, as well as small real estate taxpayers in the capital Sanaa until yesterday, amounted to 27,457 taxpayers.

Chairman of the Tax Authority, Abduljabbar Ahmed Muhammad, stated in a press statement that the authority granted 45,634 certificates of exemption to taxpayers of small and smaller enterprises for profits and free professions taxes, while the total number of exemption certificates granted to small real estate taxpayers amounted to 21,451 certificates.

The Chairman of the Tax Authority had instructed the tax offices in the capital and the other provinces to refrain from field visits to small taxpayers who are exempt from taxes after receiving complaints in this aspect.
