Foreign Ministry: US President’s statement reveals Washington’s determination to continue its aggression on Yemen

SANAA, Jan. 19 (YPA) – The Foreign Ministry of Sanaa government said that “Biden’s implicit condemnation of Sanaa’s right to confront foreign aggression reveals the nature of the American role obstructing peace.

“The implicit denunciation of the US President’s statement on Sanaa’s right to defend its people and lands and to confront the external aggression practiced by US’s weapons clearly reveals the nature of US role in obstructing peace in Yemen,” the ministry said in a statement carried out by Yemen News Agency (SABA) on Wednesday.

The statement affirmed that the USA is not satisfied with the war crimes that it committed against humanity and the crimes against Yemeni people, including its shameful role in killing thousands of innocent children and civilians, and in the unjust blockade that has created the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.

“Engaging in efforts for a just and lasting peace remains the only option available for the security of the countries, people of the region, and this is what Sana’a has been calling for, adhering to at the last eight years,” the statement read.

“No force on earth can prevent the Yemeni people from defending themselves, and the security and safety of the UAE is achieved only by encouraging to the peace and ending its military presence in the south of Yemen.”

The statement reaffirmed the right of the Republic of Yemen to defend its people, waters and lands, and to confront firmly and rigorously any hostile act from any side.
