Planning Minister meets representative of UNFPA in Yemen

SANAA, Jan. 17 (YPA) – Minister of Planning and Development, Abdulaziz Nasser Al-Kumaim, met on Tuesday with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)’s representative in Yemen, Nestor Owomuhangi, on the occasion of the end of his tenure in Yemen.

A number of issues related to bilateral cooperation between Yemen and the Fund and ways to develop it to serve common goals were discussed in the meeting.

The two sides also reviewed the progress of implementing the population programs implemented by the Fund in Yemen.

Al-Kumaim appreciated the efforts made by Owomuhangi during his tenure in Yemen.

During the meeting, an honorary shield was handed to Owomuhangi on the occasion of the end of his term as the Fund’s representative in Yemen.
