Cold weather with scattered showers to be expected within coming hours

SANAA, Jan. 14 (YPA) – The scattered showers are continued to fall in several provinces of Yemen during the coming 24 hours, the National Center of Meteorology expected.

The center stated in its daily weather bulletin that cold weather to be likely during the night and early morning hours in Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda Ibb, Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramout.

According to the center, fog and water mist may be formed on the eastern coasts and inland areas and on the heights of Hajjah, Mahweet, Raymah, Taiz, Ibb and Abyan.
Active winds may blow on the south of the western coast and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, with a maximum speed of 30 knots.

It alerted motorists to drive carefully on mountainous roads and slopes of low horizontal visibility due to fog, calling on citizens in areas where rain expected not to be in the valleys and streams of torrents.
