Shura Council condemns pro-coalition government decision to raise customs dollar price
SANAA, Jan. 12 (YPA) – The Shura Council condemned on Thursday the decision of the so-called Economic Council of the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition to raise the customs dollar price by 50 percent, from 500 to 750 riyals per dollar for imported goods in foreign currency.
In a statement it issued in this regard, the Shura council considered this decision “disastrous” and will directly contribute to the increase in suffering and the deterioration of the service and living conditions of the Yemeni people in all provinces.
The statement pointed out that the pro-coalition government aims, behind this unfair decision, to implement the policy of aggression coalition to distract citizens from their livelihood and divert their attention from the plundering of wealth and the occupation of strategic areas.
The Shura Council called on the free Yemeni people in the occupied areas to express their rejection of the starvation policy imposed on them by the coalition and its mercenaries, and to close ranks to expel the occupier, restore the land and protect the wealth.
