TEHRAN, Jan. 08 (YPA) – An Iranian delegation headed for Saudi Arabia on Saturday to hold talks on the upcoming Hajj season and sign a memorandum of understanding in this regard.
Memorandums of understanding regarding the Hajj season were signed in previous years in November and December, but Saudi Arabia was late this year in announcing the Hajj programs.
Since there are only 6 months left before the Hajj date this year, the Iranian delegation in Saudi Arabia is discussing agreements on Hajj issues for the next season, including the share of Iranian pilgrims.
Since the severing of relations between Iran and the Kingdom in 2015, talks have been taking place between Iran and Saudi Arabia about the Hajj season through officials of the Iranian Hajj Organization and the Mission of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Hajj Affairs.
