Interior Ministry in Sanaa holds press conference on child protection

SANAA, Dec. 27 (YPA) – The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Family Protection Department, on Tuesday held a press conference on child protection within the framework of collective responsibility.

During the conference, Director of Family Protection at the Ministry, Brigadier General Dr. Ibtisam Al-Mutawakel, indicated that holding the conference comes within the framework of sensing the religious, moral and humanitarian duty towards the segment of children who have been affected by violence during the years of aggression.

She explained that the aggression against Yemen greatly affected the Yemeni people in general and children in particular, and created a lot of suffering that requires official and unofficial authorities to play their role in protecting children and their families and mitigating the effects of aggression and blockade.

Al-Mutawakel stressed the need to study the societal situation, develop comprehensive solutions, and work to protect children, women, and Yemeni society in general.
