Al-Alimi announces failure to unite coalition’s factions

ADEN, Dec. 20 (YPA) – Head of the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, announced on Tuesday the cancellation of efforts to unify the factions under his control.

Al-Alimi said, during his interview on Monday with Saudi media outlet that his authority decided to form a joint operations room to manage 7 armed formations.

It was assumed that the process of merging the armed formations under the Ministries of Defense and Interior would take place in Maeen Abdulmalik government backed by the Saudi-led coalition.

Al-Alimi justified this step would need for a long time to integrate those factions scattered in the areas under his council.
