Sanaa, UNICEF discuss ways to support water projects

SANAA, Nov. 08 (YPA) – Minister of Water and Environment, Abdulraqib Al-Shurmani, discussed on Tuesday with the resident representative of UNICEF to Yemen, Philippe Duhamel, ways to enhance cooperation and partnership to support water and environmental sanitation projects.

The meeting touched on the progress of the projects implemented by the Ministry of Water and Environment with funding from UNICEF, and the importance of mobilizing the necessary funds to implement sustainable projects during the year 2023.

It was focused, during the meeting, on the sustainable projects, foremost of which are solar water projects, as well as the possibility of UNICEF support for the efforts of the Ministry to expand water and sanitation projects in the capital Sanaa and the provinces.
