MARIB, Nov. 08 (YPA) – The Islah Party accused on Tuesday Chief of Staff of forces in the coalition-backed government, Saghir bin Aziz, at the involvement of the assassination of its most prominent military leaders.
The accusation came, a few hours after the assassination of a military advisor, and the commander of the 81st Infantry Brigade, Mohammad al-Jaradi, one of the most prominent military leaders affiliated with the party, in the city of Marib.
The Party-affiliated “Bilqis Channel” reported in a report that the assassination of Al-Jaradi at this particular time came to cover major crimes committed by some leaders loyal to the UAE in Marib.
The report stated that Al-Jaradi was at odds with Saghir bin Aziz over corruption cases within the ministry, pointing out that a quarrel occurred between them days before his murder, in an explicit accusation of the involvement of the top leader backed by the UAE in the assassination.
The accusations also came in light of the escalation of conflicts between the coalition factions in Marib, especially after Islah brought direct accusations against Saghir bin Aziz and leaders loyal to Tariq Saleh, of being behind the bombing of weapons stores in the third military region in Marib.
