5 soldiers killed in military plane crash in Venezuela

SANAA, Nov. 07 (YPA) – Five members of the Venezuelan army were killed on Sunday when their plane crashed during a training mission in the southern state of Amazonas.

According to Agence France-Presse, Venezuelan Defense Minister General Vladimir Padrino Lopez said in a statement: “A C-802B aircraft crashed three kilometers from Jose Antonio Bayez air base in the state and so far four bodies have been recovered, while searches for the fifth are continuing.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro ordered the opening of an investigation to identify the possible causes of the accident and provide all necessary support to the relatives of the missing.
