Five people killed and in huge fire in central Russia

MOSCOW, Nov. 05 (YPA) – At least five people were killed and 4 others injured in a major fire that broke out last night at a restaurant in the central Russian city of Kostroma, the Novosti news agency reported, citing an emergency services source.

The emergency department of Kostroma County said the fire had spread to an area of 3.5,000 square meters, and 250 people had been evacuated from the restaurant building and another 15 from a nearby building.

Authorities said the firefighters have contained the fire.
