Yemeni fishermen killed in shooting at Mocha coast

TAIZ, Nov. 03 (YPA) – About 6 Yemeni fishermen were killed on Thursday in a shooting at their boat off the UAE-held coast of Mocha of Taiz province.

Sources familiar with the matter reported that the fishermen of Dhubab district drowned when their boat capsized off the coast of Mocha, suggesting that their boat came under fire from the Eritrean navy.

This came after a Yemeni fisherman was killed as a result of his wounds and two others were wounded when the US Navy fired bullets at their boast off the coast of Hawf in Mahra province on Saturday.

Yemeni fishermen are being systematically targeted by the Saudi-led coalition forces and their armed factions, as they continue to be prevented from fishing, in addition to dozens of them have been arrested.
