WORLD, Oct. 22 (YPA) – US President Joe Biden has expressed his belief that Russia should be prevented from “achieving success” in Ukraine.
This came in an interview with the American channel MSNBC and aired on Friday evening, in the course of Biden’s comment on statements to Republicans that Washington’s support for Kiev could be weakened and that this support cannot be a “blank check.”
Biden said: “We have spent a great deal of money to help the Ukrainians. But it’s about what’s much bigger than the Ukrainians, it’s about NATO, about Western Europe, and the need to make sure that Putin doesn’t succeed.”
Biden had earlier expressed concern that Republicans could win November’s midterm congressional elections, given that their victory would affect Washington’s aid to Kiev.
