Israeli occupation forces continue to besiege city of Nablus for 12th day in row

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Oct. 22 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces continued to tighten the noose on the Palestinian citizens in the city of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank under the pretext of escalating acts of resistance on Saturday for the twelfth day in a row, preventing the movement of citizens, as a collective punitive measure against the people of the governorate.

The Israeli blockade of Nablus, home to more than 425,000 Palestinians, shows a real suffering that Palestinians are experiencing in the besieged city and threatens to exacerbate health and environmental conditions if it continues.

The occupation forces closed the majority of the main and secondary checkpoints and prevented citizens from moving from inside and out of Nablus.

Moreover, the Zionist forces often prevent the movement of vehicles through various checkpoints and roads, especially in villages in the south and east of the governorate.

A Zionist security source said that the siege of Nablus will continue as long as there is a need to do so.

The city of Nablus has been witnessing a field movement and national calls to move towards the Israeli checkpoints to pressure the occupation to ease the siege, in light of simultaneous calls to strengthen the steadfastness of the people in Nablus and provide them with their needs.
