SHABWA, Sept. 14 (YPA) – Armed confrontations broke out on Wednesday between UAE factions of Amaliqa and Shabwa defense forces in the province of Shabwa, eastern Yemen.
Informed local sources confirmed that the militants of Amaliqa brought by UAE to Shabwa, attacked Al-Ramda point belonging to the militia of Shabwa defense with various types of weapons during the early hours of Wednesday, leaving about 9 wounded on both sides, without mentioning the number of dead.
The sources attributed the reasons for the attack to the detention of the Shabwa defense militia, a military vehicle belonging to Amaliqa militants at Al-Ramada point, and allowing it to pass later, which resulted in developing the matter into verbal altercations between the militiamen elements.
