SANAA, Aug. 30 (YPA) – The Minister of Transport of the National Salvation Government, Abdulwahab Al-Durra, on Monday denounced the Saudi-led coalition’s continued detention of fuel ships, stressing that this constitutes a threat to the UN-brokered armistice.
This came during his meeting with the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, David Gressly, in Sanaa.
A number of issues related to the port of Hodeida and Sanaa airport were discussed in the meeting, as well as the humanitarian aspect of the UN armistice.
The meeting also touched on the issue of the floating tanker “Safer”, and the role of the United Nations in helping to develop Sanaa Airport to serve the expansion of travel destinations in accordance with the armistice.
In the meeting, Gressly stressed the importance and vitality of paying salaries and opening Sanaa airport for the Yemeni people, in a way that alleviates the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
