US withdraws troops from Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait amid regional tensions

WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 (YPA) – The United States is quietly withdrawing military personnel from key bases in Jordan, Qatar, and Kuwait, alongside a reduction in diplomatic staff across the Middle East, according to ABC News.

Citing reports from the network, the measures taken by the US administration come in direct response to persistent threats from Iran.

Previously, American reports indicated that the Department of Defense was actively reviewing force posture adjustments across the Middle East theater.

In a related development, Brigadier General Yadollah Javan, the political deputy to the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), stated that Tehran possesses advanced technologies capable of targeting US bases outside the region from extended ranges.
