Chinese army arrives in Russia to participate in Vostok 2022 exercises

SANAA, Aug. 25 (YPA) – Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman, Tan Kefei, announced on Thursday that the Chinese army arrived in Russia to participate in the Vostok-2022 strategic military exercise.

Kefei explained in this regard: “Chinese land and air forces participating in the “Vostok 2022” maneuvers set up a field camp and conducted reconnaissance in the area, as well as carrying out training flights to adapt to the current situation.

“Representatives of the Chinese Navy met with representatives of Russian ships and conducted communications and other coordination exercises,” he added.

On Wednesday, the Chinese Defense Ministry announced that the Chinese People’s Liberation Army would send troops to participate in the “Vostok 2022” exercises in Russia, which will take place from August 30 to Sep 5.
