SANAA, Aug. 25 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology is expected that rain of varying intensity to be continued to a number of Yemeni provinces during the next 24 hours.
The center said, in its weather bulletin, that heavy rains, accompanied by thunderstorms, might prevail over the governorates of Lahj, Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah Saada, Hajjah and Mahweet, Amran, Sanaa and Dhamar.
It indicated the possibility of rain of varying intensity on parts of the hilltops of the provinces of Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra.
The center said that strong winds would range between 25-45 knots in the Socotra archipelago and 15-25 knots in the Gulf of Aden and the eastern and southern coasts.
The center warned citizens against being in the valleys and water ways, and rock and mud slips, as well as the low horizontal visibility on mountainous roads as a result of rainfall and the formation of low, dense clouds and fog.
