Transport Minister: Extending truce is opportunity to prove seriousness in alleviating Yemeni people suffering
SANAA, Aug. 03 (YPA) – The Minister of Transport, Abdulwahab Al-Durra, on Wednesday considered the extension of the humanitarian truce an opportunity to prove the extent of the seriousness of alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people humanely and economically and lifting the siege.
In a statement issued today, the Minister of Transport demanded that all flights run through Sana’a International Airport, that container ships and cargo ships enter Hodeida port, and that roads be opened in all provinces.
Al-Durra called on the United Nations to implement all provisions of the armistice, intensify commercial and civilian flights on a daily basis, operate flights to new destinations, and allow container ships and oil derivatives to enter the port of Hodeida without any obstruction or detention, noting that the citizen wants to see the results of the truce on the ground.
He reiterated the readiness of Sanaa Airport to receive all commercial and civil flights around the clock, in accordance with the requirements and conditions in force at international airports, in addition to the readiness of Hodeida port to receive all commercial ships.
