3 children, one woman die due to floods in Saada, Marib

PROVINCES, Jul. 27 (YPA) – Heavy seasonal rains drove flash floods through Yemen and left at least four people dead, local sources reported on Tuesday.

According to a local source, a woman and two children died in Bani Moath area of Sihar district, Saada province, northern Yemen, when their house was destroyed  as a result of the heavy rains.

In the same  context, the floods killed a child in Marib province, northeastern Yemen.

A source said that an eight-year-old was swept away by flooding due to heavy rainfall on the directorate of Majzar.

Floods also damaged farms and homes of citizens in various areas of Marib.

In the past few hours, eight citizens died as a result of heavy rainfall, six of whom in Raymah province when floods swept their vehicle in the Wadi Jaira in the district of Al-Salafiyah, while two others in Maur valley, Al-Zahrah district of Hodeidah province.
