Senior official reveals crimes of rape in Aden

ADEN, July. 23 (YPA) – A senior security official in Aden province, southern Yemen, revealed on Saturday the crimes of rape committed by the UAE-backed leaders of the “Southern Transitional Council (STC).

Captain Ali bin Ali Ayyash, commander of the seventh security region of the Saudi-led coalition in Aden, said that the armed factions deployed in the Dar Saad district kidnapped women and girls, especially displaced ones, for the benefit of prominent leaders in the STC.

Ayyash pointed out that the last crime took place a few days ago, when an armed faction led by “Wadah Abuna” stormed the house of a displaced person in the “Dar Saad” district and took his wife to the house of the district’s security director “Saleh Al-Dharhani.

He noted that the Aden Security Department tried to cover up these crimes under various pretexts.

Anis Mansour, the former media advisor to the “Aden government” at the Riyadh embassy, revealed last week that STC members in Dar Saad had stormed camps for the displaced and raped girls by force.
