Foreign Ministry condemns desecration of Islamic holy sites

SANAA, Jul. 23 (YPA) – The Foreign Ministry of Sanaa government on Saturday condemned the Saudi regime’s permission for the correspondent of the 13th Zionist channel to enter the holy places, in a flagrant provocation to the feelings of Muslims and a betrayal of the Islamic nation.

In a statement issued today, the ministry indicated that this step comes in the context of the steps taken by Riyadh to normalize its relationship with the Zionist entity, the latest of which was opening its airspace to the latter’s planes.

It called on the Arab regimes that have become accustomed to the Zionist entity or are close to it to reconsider this in line with the demands of their people and to protect their interests from their historical enemy.

In its statement, the Foreign Ministry stressed that “the attempts of normalization with the Zionist entity pushed by the successive US administrations will fail and shatter on the rock of Arab peoples’ awareness, and this is what has been proven by events during the past decades.”

The statement reiterated the position of the Republic of Yemen rejecting all forms of normalization with the Zionist entity, and the Yemeni government and people’s support for the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle for the establishment of their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
