WORLD, Jul. 21 (YPA) – The Pentagon has said that US combat capabilities will not decline in the next three months by handing Ukraine the HIMARS missile launchers, noting that it is closely following the destination of the missiles.
“It’s not about the system from which missiles were fired. It’s about ammunition and the pace of depletion… And the number of missiles to be launched from HIMARS,” Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said.
He added: “We think that right now we have everything fine… As for our forecast for the next month, two months or three months, we think everything we have will be good.”
Milley noted that the Pentagon believes that Ukrainian forces are using HIMARS missile launchers effectively and denied destroying them by Russian forces.
