SANAA, June. 25 (YPA) – Head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, warned against any attempt to integrate the Zionist entity in the region through security and military alliances.
This came during his speech at the opening of the Arab Islamic National Conference in Beirut, during which he called for supporting the resistance as a strategic option in Palestine and the region, and for restoring the elements of unity among the nation.
“Normalization harms Palestine and also harms the normalizing countries in the first place,” Haniyeh said. The need to “establish the vision, plan, conception and philosophy of confrontation in order to confront attempts to strike at the axis of resistance.”
He added, “We are in dire need of renewing life for this conference, and for all currents that reject Israeli hegemony and the Zionist project.”
At the end of his speech, Haniyeh called for supporting the resistance in Palestine as a strategic choice to confront the projects targeting the cause through various means, politically, financially, legally and in the media.
The leader of the movement also called for “the unity of the resistance fronts and arenas, and not to allow the occupation to paint the next scene and to achieve any victory over the nation.”
