Transport Minister calls on UN to implement Chicago Convention on Sanaa Airport flights

SANAA, June. 02 (YPA) – Minister of Transport, Abdul-Wahab Yahya Al-Durra, called on the United Nations to approve the operation of daily civil commercial flights from Sanaa International Airport without restrictions, in accordance with Chicago International Convention.

The minister indicated that Sanaa Airport has proven its technical and professional readiness by receiving civil commercial flights for Yemeni Airlines with efficiency and competence in accordance with international standards in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Al-Durra added: “It has become important to operate daily flights from Sanaa Airport in light of the inability of the current flights to cover the needs of patients and travelers.”
