STC leader injured in assassination attempt in central of Abyan

ABYAN, May 21 (YPA) – A leader loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia was injured on Friday in an assassination attempt in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

According to local sources in the province, the STC’s  head  coordinator at the Faculty of Education in Lawdar city, Omar al-Zaghli, seriously injured during in an explosion caused by caused by an improvised explosive device (IED), while he was on his way home.

The sources pointed out that Al-Zaghli was taken to hospital to receive treatment.
