ADEN, April 17 (YPA) – The United States of America has sent military forces for the past hours to the Al-Ma’ashiq Palace in Aden city, south of Yemen, according to navigational sources.
The sources affirmed the US military forces entered Aden under the pretext of securing and protecting the residence of the President of the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council, who will arrive at the city’s airport in the coming days.
The American forces arrived from Al Ghaydah Airport which the coalition countries have made a joint military base with the American and British forces, in addition to the Israeli Navy’s soldiers and officers, since the beginning of 2017.
The sources also confirmed that a Saudi military plane arrived at the airport carrying dozens of armored vehicles, which expected to be given to officials returning from Riyadh.
The US and Saudi military plane came after the members of the House of Representatives dismissed by Sanaa, headed by Sultan Al-Barakani, arrived in Aden amid expectations that the officials returning to Aden might be subjected to terrorist attacks.
The sources indicated that the coalition countries seeking to return the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council to Aden came after the overthrow of the so-called legitimacy of the resigned “President Hadi”.
This coincide with escaping dozens of al-Qaeda militants, including leaders, a prison under the control of Saudi forces in Seiyun city, Hadramout province.
Last week, the US Navy announced forming a joint naval force including 34 countries to conduct naval patrols in the Red Sea.
