No military solution to Yemeni crisis: Iran’s President

TEHRAN, June 18 (YPA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said there is no military solution to the Yemeni crisis, according to Iran’s Mehr News Agency.

The recent aggression on the port of Hodeidah is causing a humanitarian disaster in Yemen, the agency cited Rouhani as saying during a telephone conversation with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on Monday.

“The continuation of these clashes would put the poor in Yemen in a harsh and critical situation, and our duty is to help those oppressed,” he said.

The Iranian president criticized adventures of some countries in the region.

He said that those “incorrect policies will make the region’s problems more complex, particularly in Palestine, Syria and Yemen.”
