Shabu drug spreads in Hadhramaut

HADHRAMAUT, March 22 (YPA) – Informed sources revealed on Tuesday  wide spread of production plants for a drug known as ‘Shabu’ in Hadhramaut province, eastern Yemen.

Local sources explained that the former director of drug control in Hadhramaut valley, Mohammed Ghellab, resigned as a result of pressures  and threat following the discovery of laboratories of  “Shabu”  in the Hadhramout valley, which takes the form of crystals similar to ice or crystal during preparation.

The sources confirmed that the production of the narcotic Shabu in Hadramaut was not only distributed and trafficked inside Yemen, but went beyond smuggling it to a number of neighboring countries through the airport of Seiyun, which is  under the control of coalition forces.

The risk of shabu is higher than all types of narcotic substances, including heroin, and the drug “Shabu” has been linked to rape, murder and suicide in Egypt.

Shabu is a non-vegetarian chemical. The Japanese scientist Nagai Nagayoshi in 1893 had conducted the first experiments on the substance and its activity.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE are deliberately working to  spread of hashish and drugs in the southern oil provinces with the aim of destroying  young people in order to continue their occupation, looting the  natural resources and the disruption of  ports for the sake of their  own economic interests.
