Nasrallah categorically rejects rumors about Hezbollah fighting in Ukraine

BEIRUT, March 19 (YPA) – Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah on Friday categorically denied the media reports which alleged that a number of Hezbollah fighters and military experts are fighting in Ukraine alongside the Russian Forces.

The move came during his speech in a ceremony on the 37th anniversary for the establishment of Imam Al-Mahdi Scout Association on Friday,

He pointed to the rumors that are being spread by a number of Arab media outlets.

“I categorically reject such rumors. These are baseless lies. Hezbollah did not dispatch any fighter or expert to Ukraine,” he said.

He further noted that any similar media rumor about the alleged presence of Hezbollah in the Ukraine war is false.

Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah called on the Lebanese government to form an emergency committee to cope with the economic repercussions of the war in Ukraine, pertaining mainly the prices of the basic commodities.
