Around 300 Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, perform Talmudic rituals

QUDS, Sept. 21 (YPA) – Around 300 extremist Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Quds (Jerusalem) on Monday morning under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, coinciding with the so-called “Jewish New Year” and the beginning of the Jewish holiday season.

According to Palestinian sources, the settlers entered the mosque courtyards in groups and performed Talmudic rituals there under heavy security provided by the occupation forces.

They also reported that the settlers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque through the Moroccan Gate (Bab al-Maghariba)and conducted provocative tours of its courtyards.

A number of Jewish extremists also performed Talmudic rituals and prayers in the eastern part of the mosque, opposite the Dome of the Rock.

The incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque have intensified in recent months, particularly during Jewish holidays, amid Palestinian warnings against attempts to impose new realities at the mosque and divide it temporally and spatially.
