Senior military commander killed in Dhalea battles

DHALEA, March 10 (YPA) – A senior commander loyal to the Saudi-led coalition was killed on Thursday in fierce conformations in Dhalea province, south of Yemen.

Local sources in the province said the confrontations have resumed between the coalition and Sanaa forces in Morais front, killing Brigadier General, Fadhl Ali Mohammed al-Jahafi, the head of the operations of the UAE-backed Second Infantry Brigade forces.

The sources confirmed that the Sanaa forces managed to thwart a large attack of the coalition forces towards several areas of Qataba district and some eastern areas of Damt district in the same province.

The coalition force suffered heavy losses during the attack, the sources added.
