European Parliament takes action against ‘blatant’ violations of human rights in Bahrain
BRUSSELS, Feb. 27 (YPA) – Members of the European Parliament have sent an urgent message to the European Union’s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, asking him to act quickly to expose the “blatant violations” of human rights in Bahrain.
European politicians raised a petition that witnessed an increasing signature by politicians in Brussels denouncing the repression practiced by the Bahraini regime against citizens and political activists, highlighting their suffering, particularly Dr. Abdul-Jalil Al-Singace and Hassan Mushaima.
The petition stated that the representatives are raising their letter due to an urgent matter related to the current human rights situation in Bahrain, which has deteriorated continuously since 2011.
