Gold prices witness record rise in Yemeni markets

SANAA, Jan. 26 (YPA) – The prices of gold on Wednesday witnessed significant increase in the Yemeni goldsmith markets, especially in the provinces controlled by Saudi-led coalition, where the Gold Pound price reached 465,000 riyals.

The last update of prices in the goldsmith shops in the capital Sanaa, according to the “Yemen Economist” website, is as to follow:-

– Price of one gram of Gold 24 karat: Purchase = 35,600 Yemeni Riyal (YER), Sale = 37,500 YER

– Price of one gram of Gold 21 karat: Purchase = 31,200 YER, Sale = 33,000 YER.

– Price of one Gold Pound: Purchase = 249,000 YER, Sale = 252,000 YER.

The updated gold prices in the goldsmith shops in Aden are as to follow:-

– Price of one gram of Gold 24 karat: Purchase = 65,000 Yemeni Riyal (YER), Sale = 68,000 YER

– Price of one gram of Gold 21 karat: Purchase = 57,000 YER, Sale = 60,000 YER.

– Price of one Gold Pound: Purchase = 455,000 YER, Sale = 465,000 YER.
