Yemeni army shoots down second Emirati spy drone in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jan. 11 (YPA)  Yemeni air defenses  have on Tuesday  morning  shot down a reconnaissance fighter plane belonging to Saudi-led coalition forces over airspace Shabwa province, southern Yemen.

In a brief statement, Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman Brigadier General Yehya Sarei said that the Air Defenses managed to down a Chinese-made  Wing Loong 2, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, operating by the UAE occupation forces, while carrying out hostile acts over the airspace of  “Ain district”

The drone was targeted with a locally made surface-to-air missile, according to the statement.

On January 5th, the Yemeni air defenses shot down a Chinese-made  Wing Loong 2 over the airspace of Usaylan district in the same province.
