Shura Council condemns coalition of targeting of Sanaa Airport
SANAA, Dec. 23 (YPA) – The Shura Council condemned on Thursday the continued targeting of Sanaa International Airport, roads, bridges, civilian objects and residential neighborhoods, in the capital Sanaa and other provinces by the US-backed Saudi-led coalition.
The Shura Council affirmed, in a statement, that these crimes “are not strange from this coalition aggression that insists on shedding the blood of the people of Yemen since the beginning of the aggression with US-British cover and a shameful international and international silence.”
The statement denounced the United Nations and the Security Council’s neglect of the legal protection of Sanaa International Airport.
The Shura Council expressed regret that the United Nations was drawn into the false allegations promoted by the aggression coalition about Sanaa International Airport to legitimize its bombing, targeting and destruction of its service facilities.
In its statement, the Shura Council called on the international community, the United Nations and the Security Council to abide by the Charter of the United Nations and international law, and not to adopt a policy of double positions.
