Sanaa forces repel coalition’s military attack in Marib

MARIB, Dec. 20 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces managed to thwart a major military attack carried out by the Saudi-led coalition towards areas in the city of Marib.

Local sources in Marib told “Yemen Press Agency”, that the army foiled the advance of the coalition forces southwest of the city, adding that the army forces forced the coalition to retreat without achieving any progress in al-Balaq al-Sharqi area.

The sources confirmed the coalition forces suffered heavy losses during the failed attack.

The failure of the coalition’s attack comes hours after the army forces launched a massive advance towards the coalition’s positions on the outskirts of “Hama Talib” area, one of the entrances to the southern city.
